MOMO Porsche 356 RSR Outlaw by Emory Motorsports
In recent years you may have seen the MOMO 356 RSR Outlaw by Emory Motorsports in person at Luftgekühlt or events such as SEMA, Monterey Reunion and ID Agency gatherings. More recently, we had the opportunity to promote the car one last time as it was prepared for the RM Sotheby’s SHIFT / Monterey online auction. On Friday, August 14, the car took part in a memorable moment as the totally unique 1960 Porsche 356 sold for $858,000 after a flurry of last-minute bids.

TYPE S reveals new AutoZone video campaign with RTR Drift Team
One of the biggest names you may not know is TYPE S – the California-based designer, developer and manufacturer of accessories created to improve vehicle functionality, safety and comfort. The newest client for ID Agency is the biggest brand in LED lighting, dash cams, jump starters, portable fridge/coolers and more. It is aiming to become a household name as it embarks on its new awareness campaign, spearheaded by an exciting two-part video release.
The videos build on new TYPE S partnerships with RTR Motorsports and Formula DRIFT. Led by drivers Vaughn Gittin Jr and Chelsea DeNofa, the videos aired the week prior to the opening rounds of the long-awaited 2020 Formula DRIFT championship. Both drivers will compete in Mustang RTRs equipped with key TYPE S products including LED vehicle lighting kits and high-definition dash cams.
TYPE S app-controlled lighting solutions are just one of the exciting products that allow drivers to personalize their vehicles and are stars of the new video series. Filmed on the challenging high-speed track at the Panthera Training Facility in Old Fields, WV, part one of the video series captures pre-season testing with the RTR Motorsports team. Starting at 9:30AM and continuing until 5:30AM the following day, Chelsea DeNofa decides to drift over to the local AutoZone store to collect TYPE S LED lighting products. In part two of the video, the TYPE S LED lighting allows Chelsea and Vaughn Gittin Jr to light the darkness in a scene reminiscent of an iconic 1980s computer hacking movie we can’t name!

SPEEDVEGAS Summer Meet hosts Turn 14 Driver's Project
Teaming up with our friends from Super Street and Turn 14 Distribution, ID Agency helped to create the first annual SPEEDVEGAS Summer Meet in July. It was part of the Turn 14 Driver’s Project, which included a rally from Los Angeles to Las Vegas via Laguna Seca, San Francisco and Reno.
Enthusiasts from California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada converged on the Las Vegas for a Saturday afternoon in the sun. Our friends from Super Street and Turn 14 ensured lots of cool cars were on display and a few cameo appearances. The venue was filled to capacity with cars parked in the parking area as well as the SPEEDVEGAS track, giving visitors plenty to see.
Luftgekühlt 7 postponed until 2021
Everybody at ID Agency was extremely disappointed to announce a second postponement for Luftgekühlt 7. The organizers waited as long as they possibly could before making the difficult decision. Here is the official statement:
After careful consideration and despite our hope that the domestic situation related to the Coronavirus pandemic would have improved, at this time we see no other responsible option than to regrettably postpone Luftgekühlt 7 until 2021.
This decision was made after a very thorough review with our partners and venue hosts. As per the guidance from local and national health authorities, large gatherings of people are still prohibited. Our Durham, NC, venue has been an excellent partner as we navigated through this challenging time. Ultimately, however, the venue has had all its events canceled for the year.
We explored other markets and options, but ultimately the team decided the right thing to do is to allow more time before doing what our brand does best; bring together all walks of life, from across the country, to gather and socialize in a new location surrounded by Luftgekühlt Porsches.
While the gathering may be on pause, our social and creative spirit is not. The team is continuing to develop new concepts and collabs that we look forward to rolling out in the coming months.
“The competitor and optimist in me doesn’t give in easily,” said Patrick Long, founder of Luftgekühlt. “We’ve shaken the trees to look at all potential ideas but, for the time being, there isn’t sufficient latitude to produce large scale events for a diverse and well-traveled audience. This one definitely stings; we have invested 14 months into the production of Luft 7, but I know it’ll make the event stronger and will be even more appreciated when the time is right to come together again. We continue to be humbled by the messages of support and energy from both the community and our passionate followers. Trust that we remain committed to delivering on our mission and to remain inclusive and unique as we craft our story with you all.”

Philadelphia Flyers mascot, Gritty, uses SUPER73® electric motorbike
SUPER73 has long been the preferred mode of transport for celebrities, adventure seekers and commuters. And now it can add “ice hockey mascots” to its extensive roster.
The latest personality to sit astride the saddle of a SUPER73-S1 motorbike is Gritty from the Philadelphia Flyers. The mascot needed a custom e-bike to participate in a series of 2020 Flyers Community Caravan Parades the team planned for the summer.
The parades were organized in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which sadly caused the cancellation of the team’s traditional pop-up carnival. Instead, Gritty visited different Philadelphia communities as part of the Flyers Community Caravan Parades. Gritty also plans to use the SUPER73-S1 model for appearances during ice hockey games as the season gets underway.
Gritty’s personal transport was finished in the team’s signature black and orange. It has a gloss black frame with bright orange wheel liners, handlebar grips and pedals. The team added the Philadelphia Flyers logo and a hitch to allow Gritty to bring along his closest friends.
